They are also some of the most effective weapons for warding off sihr after it has happened, along with humbly beseeching Allaah

Among the duaas which have been narrated from the Prophet sallallahu alaihe wassallam to treat diseases such as sihr and other

things is the ruqyah by means of which he sallallahu alaihe wassallam used to treat his companions:

Allaah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal him, for You are the Healer and there is no healing except Your healing, with a

healing which does not leave any disease behind).

There is also the ruqyah by means of which Jibreel treated the Prophet sallallahu alaihe wassallam: Bismillaah urqeeka min kulli

shayin yudheeka, wa min sharri kulli nafsin aw aynin haasid Allaah yashfeek, bismillaah urqeek (In the name of Allaah I perform

Allaah I perform ruqyah for you). This should be repeated three times.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to congratulate the newly-wedded with these words: Baarak-Allahu laka wa baaraka alaikuma wa jamaa bainakuma fee khairin. [Tirmidhi]

The meaning of this Dua is: May Allah keep you in prosperity and confer His blessings upon both of you and may He grant you the favour of living together in perfect harmony.

----------------------------------------

After the opening takbeer of the prayer and before starting to recite al-Faatihah. This is called Duaa al-Istiftaah (opening supplication):

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) started to pray, he would remain silent for a while. I said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allaah. What do you say when you are silent between the takbeer and recitation? He said: I say: Allaahumma baaid bayni wa bayna khataayaaya kama baaadta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib. Allaahumma naqqini min khataayaaya kama yunaqqa al-thawb al-abyad min al-danas. Allaahumma ighsilni min khataayaaya bil-thalji wal-maai wal-barad (O Allaah, put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West. O Allaah, cleanse me of sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth. O Allaah, wash away my sins with snow and water and hail).

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 711; Muslim, 598.

Duaa al-Qunoot in Witr

It was narrated that al-Hasan ibn Ali said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) taught me words to say in Witr: Allaahumma ihdini feeman hadayta wa aafini feeman aafayta wa tawallani feeman tawallayta wa baarik li feema atayta, wa qini sharra ma qadayta , fa innaka taqdi wa la yuqda alayk, wa innahu laa yadhillu man waalayta wa laa yaizzu man aadayta, tabaarakta Rabbana wa taaalayt (O Allaah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me among those whom You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, and bless me in what You have bestowed, and save me from the evil of what You have decreed. For verily You decree and none can influence You; and he is not humiliated whom You have befriended, nor is he honoured who is Your enemy. Blessed are You, O Lord, and Exalted).

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 464; al-Nasaai, 1745; Abu Dawood, 1425; Ibn Maajah, 1178

------------------------------------------

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: When any one of you has finished the last tashahhud, let him seek refuge with Allaah from four things and say: Allaahumma inni aoodhu bika min adhaabi jahannam wa min adhaab il-qabri wa min fitnat il-mahyaa wal-mamaat wa min sharri fitnat il-maseeh il-dajjaal (O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from the torment of Hell and from the torment of the grave and from the trials of life and death and from the evil of the trial of the Dajjaal). Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1311; Muslim, 588 (this version narrated by Muslim), from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah.

Then after that he may pray for whatever he likes of the good things of this world and the Hereafter, because of the hadeeth of Ibn Masood: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) taught them the tashahhud then he said at the end: Let him ask for whatever good things he wishes. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5876; Muslim, 402.

♥ SOME DUA'S WHEN IN DIFFICULTY ♥

● Recite:

... (YA HAYYU YA QAYOOM BI REHMATIKA ASTAGHEES)

"O Alive and Everlasting One, I beseech You by Your Mercy". [Mustadrak Hakim]

● Or Recite:

(LAA ILAHA ILLA ANTA SUBHAANAKA INNI KUNTU MINNAZ ZAALIMEEN)

"O Allah, there is none worthy of Worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning".

The Qur'an states that these words were recited when Yunus (A.S) called upon Allah from the belly of the fish. Prophet Mohammad Salallahu Alyehe Wasallam stated in a hadith that when any Muslim makes this Dua via these words to Allah, then Allah surely accepts his Duas. [Tirmidhi]

● Or Recite:

(ALLAHUMA REHMATAKA ARJU FALA TAKILNI ILA NAFSI TARFAQA AYE NI WA ASLIH SHA NI QULLA HU LAA ILAHA ILLA ANTA)

"O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, do not leave me for even the duration of an eye blink (duration) and correct my total condition. Besides You there is none worthy of worship". [Hisnul Hasin]

● Alternate Dua:

(HASBUNALLAHU WA NI MAL WAKEEL)

● It is stated in a Hadees that:

(LA HAWLA WALA QUWWANTA ILLA BILLA HI)

is a medicine for 99 illnesses, the least of which is depression. [Baihaqi in Dawatul Kubra] It means that these words are so beneficial and useful that big/great grievances, depression and sorrow are easily removed in its stride.

● Abdullah bin Abbas R.A. narrates that Prophet Mohammad Salallahu Alyehe Wasallam stated that if a person constantly makes "Astaghfaar", then Allah removes every difficulty, frees him from every sorrow and makes a means for him to receive sustencance from places that he never thought of.
